Equipment Technician

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Equipment Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, helping to minimise downtime and improve production performance. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in equipment maintenance or fresh graduates with a strong technical background who are eager to build a career in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain production equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Support engineers in root cause analysis and equipment improvement projects.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure equipment complies with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct equipment inspections and support safe operating practices.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Provide technical support to operators and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support testing and integration of equipment accessories used in semiconductor manufacturing.

Requirements

• Diploma, NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or manufacturing support is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
• Experience with CAD software, maintenance systems, or diagnostic tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Able to prioritise tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and manufacturing standards.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a manufacturing environment.
