Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the company Workplace Safety & Health management system.
- Ensure daily operations comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, MOM regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Conduct routine safety inspections for factory and site operations, including machinery, lifting activities, welding, cutting, fabrication, and installation works.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work documents.

- Support investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct or assist in safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and WSH awareness training for employees, contractors, and workers.
- Monitor workplace conditions and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, training records, and statutory documentation.
- Assist with fire safety, emergency response, first aid, and evacuation procedures where required.
- Liaise with supervisors, workers, contractors, and external parties on safety-related matters.
- Support bizSAFE, and other safety management system requirements where applicable.
- Promote safety awareness and encourage continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.
- Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by the Safety Manager or Senior Management.
Requirements
- GCE "O" Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or a related discipline.
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health or other MOM-recognised WSH qualification will be an advantage.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant safety experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, engineering, or heavy industry.
- Experience in risk assessment, safety inspections, incident reporting, and safety documentation.
- Possession of relevant safety certificates such as Risk Management, Work-at-Height, First Aid, Fire Safety, will be an advantage.
- Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with workers, supervisors, contractors, and management.
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of factory and site safety, machinery safety, hot works, welding, lifting operations, and working at height.
- Ability to conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Practical understanding of emergency response, contractor safety management, and safe work procedures.
