About the role

As Lead Exploration Science Communications analyst, you will bridge any communication gaps between scientific objectives, their operational implementation within NASA's Exploration Science Strategy and Integration Office, the Lunar Discovery and Exploration Program, and the Mars Exploration Program. You will ensure clear, coordinated communication of science objectives, needs and planning associated with human exploration beyond low Earth orbit, particularly the Moon and Mars. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Assisting in the development of communications products, briefing materials, or messaging related to scientific, technical, research, or exploration programs for stakeholder audiences; Collecting stakeholder feedback, engagement data, or program information to support improvements to communications products, presentations, and outreach materials; Preparing or supporting the development of presentations, briefing materials, talking points, or other communications for leaders, government officials, or external stakeholders on scientific, technical, or programmatic activities. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Developing and coordinating communications, briefing materials, or strategic messaging related to scientific, technical, research, or exploration programs for diverse stakeholder audiences; Analyzing stakeholder feedback, engagement metrics, or program assessments to evaluate and improve communications products, presentations, and outreach materials; Preparing executive-level communications, presentations, briefing materials, or talking points for senior leaders, government officials, or external stakeholders on scientific, technical, or programmatic initiatives.
