Get to Know the Team The team has the goal to create high quality maps, using all data available through manual editing and also leveraging artificial intelligence techniques for that. The envisioned end-result based on shared effort with other geo teams is the best SE-Asia map in the world to be used on all Grab products. Get to Know the Role We are looking for an Intern Map Analyst to improve the map and enhancing it with up-to-date data generated by automatic detections and available datasets. You will be onsite at our Cluj Office reporting to the Senior Map Manager based in Cluj-Napoca. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform You will use best practices to deliver high-quality map and ensure the quality for the whole project You will analyze the map completeness to maintain the map You will maintain technical documentation relevant to the project You will establish clear requirements to enhance the ML models quality You will identify and propose methods to increase the map coverage through automatic processes What Essential Skills You Will Need Basic knowledge of cartographic principles Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Geodesy, Cartography, Geomatics or equivalent Fluency in English Exposure with QGIS, GDAL/OGR or other related GIS technologies Deadline management and ability to work in a team environment 3 months internship period, 8 hours/day, starting July/August Life at Grab What We Stand For at Grab We are committed to building an inclusive and equitable workplace that enables diverse Grabbers to grow and perform at their best.
