Responsibilities
- Invoice production & billing execution
- Prepare, validate and support the distribution of client invoices in line with agreed billing cycles and SLAs, using our billing system, Zuora Billing.
- Collect and input variable billing driver data to enable invoice generation
- Generate and process manual/standalone invoices when required, ensuring supporting documentation is retained.
- Client account setup and maintenance
- Assist with account set-up and maintenance of client records in the billing system
- Ensure client billing contact details remain current
- Client query handling & stakeholder support
- Act as a first point of contact for invoice-related queries, responding promptly and professionally, and coordinating the escalation of complex fee queries or commercial matters to the relevant business owner.
- Continuous improvement & ways of working
- Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency, reduce rework, and strengthen controls
- Contribute to billing process documentation
- About you
- We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- At least 2 years' experience working in a similar role, such as finance, accounting, invoicing, billing or accounts receivable/payable, ideally in a high volume or process driven environment
- Experience in financial services or other regulated environments is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Intermediate Excel skills for day-to-day servicing and reporting (sorting/filtering, tables, basic formulas like SUMIF/XLOOKUP, reconciling data)
- Any exposure to complex billing platforms highly desirable (particularly Zuora)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to internal and client queries
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capability to manage recurring invoicing cycles and competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills, particularly when reconciling data and resolving billing discrepancies.
