Responsibilities

  • DSP Account Management
  • Manage relationships with key DSPs in Hong Kong (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, local/regional platforms).

  • Source requirements, design deal parameters, plan the negotiation strategy and execute negotiations with key digital partners in Hong Kong, encompassing both new local partner deals and renewals.
  • Manager projects across various activities related to the partner and their platforms. This could include collaboration on content strategies, reporting integration, ongoing analysis of partner performance, problem solving, or driving marketing & promotional initiatives with large streaming accounts to maximize revenue.
  • Streaming Performance & Analytics
  • Track, analyze, and report streaming performance across all platforms.
  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend data-driven strategies to improve engagement and revenue.
  • Work closely with marketing and A&R teams to optimize campaign execution.
  • Physical Product & Production Coordination
  • Support planning and execution of physical product releases (e.g., CDs, vinyl).
  • Coordinate with production vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Updating the inventory levels and support forecasting.
  • Collaborate with retail partners, e-commerce platforms, and distributors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Marketing, A&R, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Align digital and physical strategies to maximize overall commercial impact.
  • Support regional/global initiatives as required.

  • Weekly, Bi-weekly & Monthly reports/Updates/calls.
  • DSP performance, industry/competitor release update and marketing campaign idea sharing.
  • Regional office affairs and coordination, including HK digital market update and revenue/market share/subscribers update, as well as digital strategy plan/result summary.

Requirements

  • University graduate in any disciplines but degrees of relevant subjects are preferred
  • Passionate with track records of success in business development and driving sales
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience, with passion in music & entertainment will also be considered
  • Experience working with digital industry or digital agencies will be advantageous
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of digital music and social media platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, KKBox, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, market best practice and digital marketing tools
  • Creative, bright, pragmatic and dedicated, with strong relationship management and consulting skills
  • A team player, happy working independently but also collaborating with colleagues in a matrixed organization.
  • Well-versed in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Creative pitching skills.

Additional Information

As the Associate Manager, Digital Business you will be managing accounts of digital service providers (music streaming platforms) and digital retail relationships in Hong Kong, and you will develop projects and initiatives that optimize revenue / opportunities for Sony Music's artists under these accounts. Essential to this role is a solid understanding of the digital retail landscape as well as a core understanding of the digital services. Equally important is a strong grasp of various different types of repertoires. You will boast strong business relationships with current digital partners in Hong Kong and will play an integral role in developing partners, gathering, and synthesizing deal requirements to drive win-win outcomes in negotiations and partner development to grow digital revenue, streaming and market share for Hong Kong. This role also supports physical product management and oversees sales channel coordination to maximize revenue and market presence.
