Responsibilities

  • Onsite HR Leadership & Core HR Support
  • Serve as the primary, onsite HR contact for hourly associates and leaders, providing clear guidance on policies, practices, and HR programs.
  • Maintain a regular presence on the manufacturing floor to build trust, strengthen relationships, and proactively address employee concerns.
  • Independently lead employee relations matters, including issue resolution and investigations, partnering with the broader HR team as needed for guidance and escalation.

  • Lead and support temporary and permanent recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to ensure a consistent and positive new hire experience.
  • Support regular and accurate payroll submissions.
  • Drive and support site performance management processes.
  • Support compensation and talent programs, including merit, bonus, and hourly compensation reviews.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems.
  • Support employee surveys, reporting, and follow up actions tied to engagement and performance.
  • Change, Communication & Engagement
  • Partner with site leadership to support change initiatives, organizational shifts, and evolving business needs.
  • Draft and deliver clear, timely employee communications and ensure key messages are understood across shifts.
  • Support and participate in PAR (Positive Associate Relations) engagement activities, site events, and culture‑building efforts that strengthen connection and retention.
  • Supports team building sessions through front line leadership development trainings, and other round table and communication events.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead and support HR projects aligned with broader HR initiatives, including process improvements, documentation, and data gathering.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, and the overall employee experience.
  • Support additional HR and ad hoc projects based on site and business needs.
  • What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3+ years of HR experience , or GED with equivalent related experience.
  • Experience working in an HR Generalist or similar HR role supporting hourly employee populations.
  • Experience using HR systems required (Workday preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including demonstrated experience working with data in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support occasional off‑hours needs

Requirements

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, supply chain, or operations environment, very strongly preferred.
  • Experience partnering closely with frontline leaders in a fast‑paced, operational setting.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives and helping teams adapt through transition.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP).

The HR Leader is the primary, onsite HR leader for the Fiberon manufacturing facility in Meridian, Idaho. T This role serves as the first point of contact for all people‑related matters, supporting both employees and leaders in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with rotating 12‑hour shifts, and works closely with site leadership, associates, and the HR Centers of Excellence to deliver both hands‑on day-to-day HR support and strategic people initiatives that support the business, employees, and culture. This position requires a consistent onsite presence Monday through Friday, with flexibility to provide occasional support outside standard day/hours as needed. Relocation support is available to qualified candidates.
