Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Job Purpose : The WFP TSFP Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and implementation of World Vision Ethiopia TSFP activities under WFP Food Assistance program in the respective Refugee camps. He/she will work in close collaboration with other WVE managers, Coordinators, teams and health and nutrition partners to ensure coordination, collaboration, integration and quality of nutrition activities. Liaise and establishes contacts at Regional, Zonal and woreda level with government/RRS health office, DRMFSS, NGOs, and UN agencies (WFP, WHO and UNICEF). Major Responsibility Program/Project Planning and Implementation: Coordinate and facilitate program/project activities, ensuring they align with the overall program/project objectives and donor requirements. Monitor program/project progress, identify challenges, and develop solutions to ensure timely and effective implementation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date program/project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials. Establish and supervise WFP TSFP activities: Develop Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP), Project Procurement Plan, Supply Plan Contributing to the design, overseeing the implementation, capacity development, and quality of nutrition programs. Requesting the nutritional supplies allocation, such as supplementary food (RUSF and CSB++), from donors on a monthly basis and following up on the dispatch and the distribution of the supplies to the project participants according to the distribution schedule. Ensuring the TSFP teams are equipped with minimum nutrition supplies and recording and reporting tools needed for TSFP activities (such as Supplementary food, MUAC, registration book, follow-up card, reporting format, referral slip, quick reference, and guideline). Oversee project activities through regular field visits, providing on-site support and conducting joint supportive supervision. Ensuring quality implementation of TSFP activities, screening, and community mobilization Ensuring the implementation of infant and young child feeding (IYCF/IYCF-E) program in the health system- enhancing the availability and integration of IYCF counselling services with all possible focal contact points. People Management and staff development: Determine the HR needs for the implementation of the WFP TSFP activities Taking part in the recruitment of staff in line with P &C procedures and in consultation with P&C coordinators/Managers Develop and follow up on individual work/ action plans Identifying the training needs of WVE teams on the basis of skills assessments and observation in collaboration Organising and carrying out training sessions, On Job training, coaching, mentoring, and joint supportive supervision. Organise and lead (in collaboration with TA) monthly team meetings to identify challenges and track progress in the programme implementation at the different centres and develop action plan and follow up accordingly Organising and leading meetings with the team and individual staff members, on both a regular and ad hoc basis Develop and direct operations: Contribute to the development of the WVE Health & Nutrition strategy, and roll out strategy as required Analysis and follow up of the health and nutrition situation in the region- outbreaks, health and nutrition status and other issues affecting the health and nutrition status of the population. Contributing to the preparation of new project proposals (text, budget, BoQ and HR needs) in collaboration with other sectors' PMs, Coordinators and Nutrition & health Technical Advisor/specialists Ensure accurate and quality monthly reporting (MMR narrative and quantitative reports) Ensure that staff are adhering to the reporting and recording system (beneficiary cards, follow up cards, register books, daily, weekly, monthly reports)- accuracy and timely submission Contribute to donor reporting (frequency according to the donor requirements) by compiling and writing of nutrition narrative on progress while ensuring accurate data Presenting TSFP programme to partners (the authorities, donors etc) Internal and External Coordination: Participate in the different external coordination mechanisms at National, Regional, Zonal and woreda level. Develop network of contacts at base level (INGOs, LNGOs, government, technical or scientific) to allow a smooth implementation of the project Provide updates on WVE health and nutrition activities in the different external coordination meetings.
