Job Summary: The Trucordia people team is looking to hire another Benefits Specialist to join their team. The Benefits Specialist will assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, as well as administering leave of absences. This role focuses on supporting employees, ensuring they understand their benefits & leave options, and helping maintain accurate employee data. Duties and Responsibilities: Administer day‑to‑day operations of employee leave of absence programs (e.g., FMLA, PLOA, ADA, state leave programs) and group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Ensure all benefits and leave programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA), and support audits or policy updates as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits and leave inquiries, providing expert guidance, resolving complex issues, and delivering a high level of employee support. Monitor leave of absence and activity, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and alignment across systems and vendors. Maintain accurate employee benefits and leave data within the HRIS, proactively identifying discrepancies and opportunities for process improvement. Support benefits enrollment activities by assisting employees, troubleshooting enrollment issues, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. Develop and deliver clear benefits and leave communication materials, including emails, guides, brochures, presentations, and newsletters. Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits‑ and leave‑related issues and ensure accurate, efficient administration.
