Role Summary The Data Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day data operations, issue triage, and vendor coordination across commercial, medical, and patient services data platforms. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external vendors to ensure data issues are identified, investigated, documented, and resolved efficiently. Let's get specific on what the duties are: Data Issue Management & Vendor Coordination Act as the primary point of contact for identifying, documenting, and tracking data-related issues Create detailed tickets and work directly with external vendors (e.g., IQVIA, Veeva Systems) to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies Coordinate testing and validation of vendor-delivered fixes to ensure issues are fully resolved before closure Maintain clear documentation of issues, root causes, and resolutions Data Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate data questions and anomalies across systems Perform deep-dive analysis across multiple platforms (CRM, data warehouse, vendor feeds) to identify root causes Collaborate with internal IT teams to trace data flow issues across integrations (e.g., SFTP, APIs) Escalate and route issues appropriately based on findings Ad Hoc Reporting & Data Support Pull and analyze ad hoc data requests to support business questions Validate data accuracy and reconcile discrepancies across sources Support reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a bridge between business teams (Commercial, Medical, Patient Services) and technical teams Translate business questions into structured data investigations Provide clear communication on issue status, timelines, and resolutions Data Quality & Continuous Improvement Identify recurring data issues and recommend process improvements Support data quality monitoring and governance efforts Contribute to documentation of data flows, business rules, and standard operating procedures Qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field 2-4 years of experience in data operations, analytics, or a related role (pharma/healthcare preferred) Experience working with external vendors and managing issue resolution workflows Strong SQL skills and ability to query and validate datasets Experience with ticketing tools (e.g., DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow) Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with pharma data ecosystems (HCP/HCO, specialty pharmacy, claims data) Experience with CRM platforms such as Veeva CRM Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Databricks, dbt) Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) Key Skills Strong problem-solving and investigative mindset Ability to manage multiple issues and priorities simultaneously Clear documentation and communication skills Attention to detail and data accuracy Cross-functional collaboration As a person, you are a strong team player, proactive in nature and have a can-do attitude. Travel: 5 - 15 days per year Place of work: Princeton, New Jersey The estimated salary range for this position is $140-$150k. Actual salary determination is dependent on a variety of factors some of which include: experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
