Senior Staff Product Deisgner

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Staff Product Designer to join our team. This is an end-to-end role - from problem definition through research, design, and delivery. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape experiences that matter to the people running their own businesses on HoneyBook.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex ideas into simple, working products that bring value to our users and drive business impact.
• Own the entire product lifecycle - from opportunity to shipped product and beyond.
• Rapidly test hypotheses using Claude, Lovable, Cursor and others to get real things in front of users fast.
• Advocate for our diverse customer base with hard data and in-depth qualitative and quantitative research insights to help meet their unique needs.
• Contribute beyond your product team - to how we work and to growing our design culture.
• What we're looking for in a candidate:
• 7+ years designing and shipping product at meaningful scale, with outcomes you can speak to. Beyond experience, we hire for a specific type of designer:
• First-Principles Thinker. Questions the brief before a single pixel is pushed. Asks why this problem, why now, and what success actually looks like - then challenges any assumption that doesn't hold up.
• Pragmatic Empath. Turns user understanding into a practical argument. Defends the user's experience in fast-moving rooms where engineering constraints and deadlines tend to win.
• Taste Gatekeeper. Knows the difference between good and excellent, and more importantly, knows how to explain why. Raises the bar for everyone around them - their absence is felt.
• Simplifier. Cuts before they add. In a world where AI makes it easy to generate more of everything, they find the one thing that matters and remove the rest.
