Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver reporting on key revenue cycle areas such as denials, claim edits, productivity, and performance metrics
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve financial outcomes and operational efficiency
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to support business users
- Write and manage SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis needs
- Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, and IT teams to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Support data quality efforts, including validating and reconciling information across systems
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting tools, data models, and processes
- Assist in maintaining documentation and supporting data governance standards
Requirements
- Experience working with healthcare revenue cycle data, including claims, denials, and related workflows
- Understanding of revenue cycle performance metrics and financial reporting concepts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and share meaningful insights
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data
- Experience using Power BI to create reports and dashboards, including working with data models
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams

- Required Education and Experience
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time software development experience; or
- Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time software development experience; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time software development experience.
- NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
