Entity: Finance Job Family Group: Finance Group Job Description: This role is responsible for supporting the team with accounting and reporting services related to product costing and inventory management. The analyst helps ensure the integrity and effectiveness of accounting policy application, internal controls, financial reporting, accounting systems support, and delivery of financial accounting processes in alignment with BP's systems and requirements. The position performs inventory management and accounting activities, contributes to internal control measures, resolves root‑cause errors, and supports continuous improvement across inventory accounting processes. Key Accountabilities Perform inventory management and accounting activities. Calculate, validate, and populate product costs in the system. Analyze and update Product Purchase Variances (PPV). Gather data and prepare statutory reports for inventory management. Monitor inventory transactions, report findings, and reconcile inventory accounts in the general ledger. Review and ensure statutory inventory reports are prepared accurately and on time. Implement monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with the Group Reporting Manual and relevant standards. Contribute to the creation and enhancement of internal control measures for inventory accounting. Identify and resolve root‑cause errors. Perform balance sheet integrity checks and Cardex analysis for the businesses. Support continuous improvement, process simplification, and compliance through key metrics and remediation actions. Maintain strong professional relationships with internal partners and external collaborators.
