About the role

This position is located in the Office of the Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs (EUR). The Bureau is charged with implemeting U.S. foreign policy and promoting U.S. interests in Europe and Eurasia and advising the Under Secretary for Political Affairs. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience tracking and reviewing incoming and outgoing documents for content, correct formatting, and timeliness. Experience preparing reports and delivering briefing to senior officials on findings and recommendations. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position. GS-13: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience tracking and reviewing incoming and outgoing documents for content, correct formatting, appropriateness, timeliness, and internal consistency. Experience handing a wide range of critical, time-sensitive issues and actions and efficeinctly priortizing those actions to ensure deadlines are met. Experience communicating and applying communication skills to obtain information and provide advice and guidance to colleagues, office leader, and Front Office level. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
