About the role
**This is a 12-month contract role working onsite 4 days/week in the West Minneapolis area. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.** Our client is seeking a detail-oriented data analytics contractor to support business-critical BI reporting and analytics initiatives. This role partners closely with technology and business stakeholders to build dashboards, deliver insights, and enhance data capabilities. Primary Duties Develop, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards and reports in Sigma Computing to support decision-making Build and maintain data models; gather and document data requirements with stakeholders Partner on data infrastructure, visualization, and analytics roadmap initiatives Perform ad hoc analysis and deep dives to generate actionable insights Automate internal and external reporting while ensuring data quality and timeliness Improve report performance and streamline data visualization using advanced modeling techniques Maintain data accuracy, governance, and documentation; support validation processes Qualifications Strong quantitative background with excellent analytical, written, and communication skills Self-starter with strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team 2+ years of professional experience in analytics or BI development Proficiency with SQL Experience with using tools such as Sigma, Looker, Power BI, or similar Willingness to learn and integrate AI into current technology. Experience with data modeling, visualization, and ad hoc analysis Experience with system integrations, APIs, and performance optimization Nice-to-Have Skills Familiarity with tools such as DAX, Python, dbt, LookML, SSRS, and Snowflake Familiarity with financial concepts, investment management, or capital markets Exposure to commercial real estate concepts Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely Our Vetting Process At Emergent Staffing, we work hard to find candidates who are the right fit for our clients.
