About the role

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Test Examiner Group of the Non-Destructive Test Division (Code 630) at TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. This announcement is for an Upward Mobility Program position. The Upward Mobility Program is a unique job opportunity. The entry level for this position is GS-09 with a full performance level of GS-11. Knowledge of employees selected may vary and will require the development of an individually tailored training plan to assist them in qualifying for the full performance level of this position. Eligibility requires that the employee be performing satisfactorily, complete all training requirements, acquire the requisite qualifications and have met time-in-grade eligibility for career ladder promotions. This recruitment is open to current DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) eligibles with experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing quality inspections and assisting with quality assurance audits on submarine components, equipment and systems.
