In this role, you will be responsible for marketing, underwriting, and servicing a portfolio of clients across Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Leveraging your strong relationship-building skills, you will develop and maintain long-term partnerships with brokers and clients, focusing on sustainable growth rather than transactional sales. You will apply your financial and business acumen to conduct in-depth credit underwriting, perform financial and risk analysis, and make informed decisions on both new and existing accounts. Duties and Responsibilities: Build and strengthen Liberty Mutual Surety's presence across Ontario and Atlantic Canada by developing relationships with brokers and generating new business opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor by communicating our underwriting appetite, policies, and value proposition. Lead the origination, evaluation, and underwriting of surety opportunities, including complex transactions. Develop and manage a balanced book of business, ensuring alignment with production, profitability, and growth objectives. Perform detailed financial analysis, including trend and ratio analysis, to assess risk and determine appropriate underwriting positions. Monitor portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks and recommending proactive strategies, including mitigation plans or exit strategies where required. Analyze risk exposures, loss history, and market conditions to determine appropriate coverage structures, terms, and conditions. Maintain ongoing oversight of assigned accounts, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and internal controls. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver exceptional service and identify cross-selling opportunities across Liberty Mutual product lines. Participate in client, broker, and internal meetings, providing insights and strategic recommendations. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and underwriting best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, processes, and operational efficiency.
