Senior Draftsman / GIS (Roads O&M)

About the role

Job Purpose To prepare, review, and maintain engineering drawings for road maintenance and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with client requirements, applicable standards, and project specifications. Principal Accountability & Responsibility Prepare and update Drawings, for all assets, management drawings, road maintenance drawings, and as-built drawings. Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness. Ensure all drawings comply with Ashghal requirements, QCS, and relevant standards. Incorporate review comments and maintain drawing registers and document control records. Support permit applications, utility coordination, and technical submissions. Education and Experience Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of drafting experience in roads and infrastructure projects. Minimum 5 years of experience in Road Operations & Maintenance projects. Experience with Ashghal projects and TDP preparation is preferred. Key Skills and Knowledge Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge is an advantage. Qatar Geoportal, using Google Earth and KMZ files and GIS is an advantage Strong understanding of road geometry, and infrastructure maintenance. Knowledge of Ashghal standards, QHDM, and TDP requirements is an advantage Good coordination, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
