Job Details Plans, directs, organizes, leads, and coordinates the day-to-day operation of the Respiratory Therapy Department, both inpatient and outpatient services (inpatient services include both adult, neonatal, and pediatric patients served; outpatient services include Pulmonary Function Testing). Job Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversees goal setting, budget management, and results. Develops and implements systems that enable consistent evaluation of care provided. Manages budget in response to department requirements and monitors budget reports, justifying expenses. Assists in the development and implementation of policies/protocols/standards designed to facilitate improved care practices. Coordinates projects to meet established objectives and to operationalize LVHN vision. Develops goals for the department that are measurable and consistent with the mission, strategic plan, and quality improvement plans. Administers interviews; selects and hires all department personnel. Monitors outcomes of budgets, clinical interventions, and customer satisfaction; facilitates appropriate intervention. Participates in research and integrates appropriate research findings into delivery of patient care. Provides clinical, consultative, technical, or informational services as needed to staff, other disciplines, patients, and/or families. Reviews activities of department units and facilitates needs of customers are being met in a cost-effective manner.
