- Develop and optimize electron optics systems for spin-polarization measurements of photocathodes
- Perform Cs/NF₃ activation of III-V photocathode surfaces under ultra-high-vacuum conditions

- Design and implement optical setups for spin rotation and polarization measurements

- Analyze and interpret experimental and simulation data to guide photocathode performance optimization
- Ph.D. in Physics or closely related field (or Ph.D. completion expected within the current academic timeline)
- Research experience in photocathode science, electron beam physics, or related accelerator physics
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent, research-intensive work in experimental physics
- Experience with nanostructured III-V photocathodes and/or negative electron affinity (NEA) materials
- Prior work with high-voltage electron guns and beamline diagnostics
- Experience in ultra-high-vacuum (UHV) systems and photocathode activation techniques (e.g., Cs/NF₃)
- Strong background in electron optics design and beam transport simulations
- Proficiency in nanophotonic modeling and charge transport simulations (e.g., FDTD, CHARGE or similar tools)
- Experience with QE measurements, spin-polarization systems, and optical system design
- Strong computational skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis and modeling
