About the role

As Senior Design Manager, Interiors, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and safeguarding Crown's interior design excellence across major developments, refurbishments and minor works. Reporting to the Group Executive General Manager, you will lead aesthetic outcomes from concept through to delivery, ensuring all projects meet Crown's exacting standards for design quality, craftsmanship, materials and presentation. This is a highly influential role requiring deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to balance creativity with commercial and operational outcomes across Crown's portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver interior design outcomes for projects and provide senior design review and critique across all major developments and refurbishments
  • Own the aesthetic integrity of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with Crown standards, brand and guest experience
  • Review and approve interior documentation, samples, prototypes and shop drawings to ensure quality, functionality and constructability
  • Specify, approve and critique FF&E and bespoke elements, balancing design excellence with budget, operational and durability requirements
  • Partner with Project Managers to manage design scope, cost control and on‑time delivery across complex project environments
  • QA completed works and oversee presentation and handover to ensure a fully resolved, world‑class outcome

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience delivering large‑scale, high‑end interior projects, ideally within hospitality, entertainment or premium environments
  • Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of materials, finishes, FF&E and bespoke fabrication, with strong specification and compliance awareness
  • Proven ability to lead design reviews, resolve complexity and identify aesthetic or technical risks early
  • Confident, influential communicator able to engage senior stakeholders, consultants, builders and suppliers
  • A refined design eye with strong commercial judgement and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment
