MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying: To qualify at the GS-05 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (2) of the (3) duties listed below: Providing assistance and/or responding to questions regarding human resources related topics; Utilizing human resources electronic tools and systems to process routine personnel actions (i.e. assignments, details, specials appointments, etc.); Conducting basic research on personnel actions to resolve errors. OR Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. To qualify at the GS-06 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Reviewing personnel actions to determine staffing and placement requirements; Screening applications for minimum qualifications; Processing personnel actions using automated human resources systems; Providing technical assistance and responding to inquiries regarding employee benefits, personnel actions, staffing procedures, or other human resources programs and services.
