The compensation range for this position is $69,800.00 - $104,800.00, depending on experience. Position Summary MPT Trade Compliance is looking for smart, energetic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate shows good judgement and instinct in decision making with a drive for continual improvement of business operations and trade compliance awareness. This is an exciting position that will be supporting global strategy, development and implementation of process improvements, and ongoing Group and Business Unit compliance program efforts supporting our rapidly growing and evolving businesses. Essential Responsibilities Responsible for daily Import/Export activities to ensure compliance with global trade regulations. Classify new products and maintain data base of HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) and ECCN (Export Control Classification Numbers) Classification. Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and other shipping documents. Restricted Part Screening: Conduct restricted and denied party screening to ensure appropriate controls and I place to prevent violations. Support export license applications, recordkeeping reporting requirements and maintaining compliance with relevant authorities Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain trade compliance standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct and or support internal trade compliance audits, identifying risk and implementing corrective actions. Complete preferential trade agreements ( ex. CUSMA & Certificates of origin) using rules of origins and valuation methods. Collaborate and oversee activities of Customs brokers and Freight Forwarders and government agencies as needed. Provide training and guidance to employees to promote a culture of compliance. Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of international trade laws and customs regulations. Proficient in import/export compliance, including tariff classification (HTS, ECCN), documentation accuracy, and valuation methods. Understanding of rules of origin, preferential trade agreements (USMCA, EU FTAs, CPTPP), and country-of-origin requirements. Experience conducting restricted or denied party screenings and managing embargo compliance. Skilled in managing export licensing processes and maintaining accurate compliance records. Familiarity with global trade management systems such as ERP platforms, CARM and CERS. Analytical & Operational Skills Strong analytical abilities to interpret and apply complex trade regulations. Proven track record of maintaining compliance documentation, audit trails, and accurate reporting. Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for trade compliance processes. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Interpersonal & Leadership Skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across value streams, commercial and legal teams. Capable of providing internal training and guidance to promote trade compliance awareness. Demonstrated initiative and accountability in managing compliance risks within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Culturally aware and comfortable working in a global business setting.
