Responsibilities

  • Capacity Allocation: Work closely with the Supply Chain team to secure and defend wafer capacity allocations, particularly during periods of high market demand or supply constraints.
  • New Foundry Onboarding: Identify and qualify new foundry sources based on specific technology requirements (e.g., Power, Discrete, Analog) and manage the RFQ process for new business awards.
  • Contract Management: Own the full lifecycle of foundry contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) terms, and Intellectual Property (IP) protection clauses.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the commercial lead in discussions involving Operation, Quality, and Business Group (BG) Project teams for tape-outs, technology transfers, and NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Market Intelligence: Develop and maintain price and technology roadmaps by benchmarking various foundry capabilities and industry pricing trends.
  • Global Project Lead: Lead international procurement projects, ensuring seamless communication across different time zones and cultural business environments.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics/Semiconductor preferred), Supply Chain, or Business.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of solid sourcing experience in a Foundry manufacturing environment or a Semiconductor IDM/product company.
  • Technical Expertise: Direct experience sourcing Wafer Products, Bare Die, or frontend services. Knowledge of Power and Discrete semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Systems Proficiency: Strong experience with SAP for datasheet and vendor management.
  • Core Competencies
  • Specialized Negotiation: Deep understanding of foundry-specific commercial levers (e.g., wafer starts per month, mask set costs, yield-based pricing).
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to synthesize complex data into clear sourcing strategies and price benchmarks.
  • Bilingual Communication: Excellent English and Mandarin (verbal and written) to effectively manage relationships with global and Asia-based foundry partners.
  • Ambiguity Management: Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, global environment and prioritize tasks under pressure.

The Foundry Sourcing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end commercial management of Nexperia's external wafer fabrication partners.
