The Scheduling Coordinator will also be responsible to answers patient phone calls, verify insurance benefits, prepare charts for clinic and provides clerical functions for the Beverly Hills Clinic. Must work with any and every physician in the Beverly Hills Clinic. Other duties as assigned. Essential Duties: Utilizes courtesy, compassion, kindness and honesty while interacting with public, patients, and all clinic personnel. Schedules patient appointments in a timely manner, and at the request of the physician, while accommodating patient's needs. This includes but not limited to: pre-operative appointments, post operative appointments, imaging studies, laboratories, procedures and consultations as needed. Fulfills other department scheduling functions per department procedures and protocols. Requests and processes authorizations related to surgery and ensures payment for services by verifying benefits with insurance provider. Coordinate pre-operative appointments with patient and providers, including but not limited to: surgical clearances, labs, required imaging and any additional medical records required by surgical team. Maintains and accurately processes pre-operative and post-operative documentation and ensures all records are obtained and provided to surgical team Processes patient documentation related to surgery by communicating with patient and sending to patients preferred clinic(s) and medical facilities. Communicates and schedules surgeries with hospital personnel. This includes submission of proper documentation and ensuring all necessary records are received.
