Position Summary Join Acadia as a Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and play a critical role in advancing scientific exchange and supporting innovative therapies within a designated therapeutic area. In this field-based role, you will build and maintain trusted relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare professionals (HCPs), ensuring access to accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific information. You will serve as a strategic partner to internal teams while contributing valuable field insights that shape medical and development strategies. Primary Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with national and regional KOLs, HCPs, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence aligned to Medical Affairs strategy Lead scientific exchange with thought leaders, including discussions on research, clinical data, and emerging therapies Support clinical trial sites and facilitate investigator-initiated research (IIR) proposals Maintain deep expertise in therapeutic area, disease state, and Acadia's product portfolio Collaborate cross-functionally with Regional Business Leaders and Account Business Managers in alignment with compliance requirements Deliver strategic field insights to inform medical and development initiatives Identify disease state insights and product differentiation opportunities based on clinical and scientific knowledge Represent Acadia at medical meetings, congresses, and educational programs Support commercial initiatives through participation in speaker training and sales education Other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Skills Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in a scientific or related discipline Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry Experience in rare diseases, neurology, epilepsy, or psychiatry required Prior Medical Science Liaison experience preferred Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and clinical frameworks within the pharmaceutical industry Ability to travel up to 75% with residence within assigned territory Physical Requirements This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs. #LI-REMOTE #LI-CS1 In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.
