To provide continuous, world-class infrastructure and base support in order to enable global Space Force mission Deltas and other space and homeland defense mission partners to conduct combat operations. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions,Technical and Medical Support Positions. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT IOR In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NJ-02, or equivalent (GS-08) in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience described as technical work in drafting, surveying, construction estimating, physical science, mathematics, aerospace, architecture, chemicals, electrical or mechanical systems, mining, petroleum, or nuclear systems. Experience in a trade or craft where the work provided intensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and precedents may also be qualifying. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge in Asset Management Principles and Practices as it applies to Operations Management and Requirements and Optimization activities. 2. Knowledge of CE work control, customer service, operations/maintenance management procedures, and functions and procedures of each type of CE work centers. 3. Knowledge of AFIs, practices, and procedures pertaining to CE operations and ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures in a variety of situations, and recommend timely and economical solutions. 4. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management and Sustainment Management Systems, system capabilities, economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to manipulate data use macros and formulas, pivots tables and charts, perform data analysis, and build effective presentations. 5. Knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control, and budget systems; work classifications and the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures of appropriated and non-appropriated funds; automated data processing system capabilities; real property management; and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions. 6. Knowledge of analytical and diagnostic methods, procedures, and principles, and surveying methods, equipment, and techniques of measurements to identify project requirements. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
