JOB PURPOSE This role will provide technical support for Chassis aftermarket products, drive product development and third-party validation, and manage technical documentation. Collaborating with global and regional teams, this role will support quality investigations, supplier audits, and product launches to enhance aftermarket efficiency and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support and Innovation:
  • Provide technical support for Chassis product across aftermarket.
  • Engage with customers and cross-functional stakeholders (product line, purchasing, etc.) to identify unmet needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Deliver engineering responses to customer support and service inquiries.
  • Engineering and Support:
  • Support product development and validation of aftermarket products sourced from third parties.
  • Support with review of engineering capability within new suppliers.
  • Support product testing for new-to-range products and product types.
  • Technical Documentation and Systems:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation: product attributes, specifications, BOMs, global requirements, benchmarking, and design reviews.
  • Ensure timely documentation of engineering changes and updates to aftermarket commercial and technical systems.
  • Develop and maintain Global Technical Requirements and Design Validation Plan & Reports for existing and new product types.
  • Quality and Testing:
  • Support quality investigations and resolution of product concerns.
  • Support audit of new supply sources for Chassis products.
  • Collaboration and Liaison:
  • Coordinate with global functions: product line and purchasing
  • Coordinate with regional functions: category management, customer & supplier quality, sales and technical service teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Partner with PHINIA and third-party suppliers to enhance AFM efficiency and revenue.
  • Provide technical guidance to the aftermarket Global Engineering Manager and broader business.
  • What we're looking for:
  • Mandatory
  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical engineering education with relevant industrial experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, with design and manufacturing knowledge
  • Desirable
  • Experience with braking and steering & suspension passenger car systems and components would be a significant advantage.
