As a Policy Analyst, you'll play a key role in developing evidence-informed policy that drives better outcomes for communities across the motu. Develop and refine policy advice - contribute to drafting, reviewing, and improving policy documents, legislation, and guidance to ensure clarity, quality, and alignment with organisational goals Support effective delivery of initiatives - track progress, coordinate project activities, and contribute to evaluations to strengthen outcomes and continuous improvement Collaborate across teams and stakeholders - build strong working relationships internally and externally to support joined-up, high-impact policy development Apply critical thinking and analysis - provide sound advice, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape practical, evidence-based solutions Embed equity and good practice - ensure all work reflects commitments to equity, strong processes, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring Relevant qualifications and policy knowledge - tertiary qualification with experience (or strong understanding) of developing policy advice within the social policy sector Strong analytical and decision-making skills - ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgement to develop options and provide advice Excellent organisation and initiative - able to prioritise, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality Effective communication and relationship management - strong written and verbal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build positive stakeholder relationships Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
