About the role
As Controller, Central Cluster Country Group, you will serve as a key Finance Business Partner to the Sales and Commercial organizations, supporting profitable business growth through financial insight, performance analysis, and commercial decision support. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Customer Marketing, and Finance colleagues to evaluate and optimize customer investments, improve promotional effectiveness, and drive sustainable sales and profit growth. Responsibilities
- Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Act as the primary Finance Business Partner for the Sales organization, supporting short-term business activations and commercial initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial decision-making and drive profitable growth.
- Partner closely with Sales and Customer Marketing teams to evaluate customer investments and promotional activities.
- Analyze trade spending plans and identify opportunities to improve net pricing, optimize investments, and reduce trade spending inefficiencies.
- Translate financial plans and budgets into realistic customer-level performance targets.
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the assigned business area.
- Monitor business performance against targets and provide timely analysis of risks and opportunities.
- Analyze monthly financial results and communicate performance updates and full-year outlooks to key stakeholders.
- Support accurate financial forecasting through robust business analysis and challenge.
- Sales & Trade Investment Management
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and Return on Investment (ROI) across customer activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve trade investment efficiency and commercial profitability.
- Provide ongoing analysis and recommendations to maximize value creation through customer investments.
- Forecasting & Business Performance
- Actively contribute to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
- Drive forecast accuracy through data-driven analysis and collaboration with commercial stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between commercial plans, demand forecasts, and financial expectations.
- Process Improvement & Controls
- Drive simplification initiatives and promote best-practice sharing across the Cluster Finance organization.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
- Ensure that financial controls and governance processes within the sales controlling environment remain effective and fit for purpose.
- Experience you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in Finance, Commercial Finance, Business Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and supporting organizational change
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
