Responsibilities:- - Develop strategic plans for the purchasing function - Contributes to deliver bottom line/top line results, managing own spend/projects according to long term planning and upfront targets defined - Conducts periodic risk assessment, designing and managing adequate countermeasures for selected spend - To review with vendors on quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken by vendors - Review & plan purchasing order through :Internal : collect related customer inquiries from Sales on specification and lead time - External : sourcing suppliers, networking, market information and negotiation - Prepare cost estimates, tender, contracts and price finalizing for project tender submission - Render support to business leaders for all project procurement matters - Source for required material and suppliers, either directly or through consultant - Procurement of material and negotiation with suppliers, ensuring price is always competitive and landed cost evaluation is performed - Evaluate prices and suppliers and make selection recommendation to project and stakeholders - Manage and plan Inbound Shipping : manage delivery suppliers (UPS), negotiate discount rate - Manage Capital Equipment with engineering knowledge - BOM and material planning to ensure smooth delivery at min. inventory level - Yearly cost saving initiatives
