Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 6 years of post-qualification experience mandatorily. Demonstrated expertise in Indian taxation, including GST, TDS/TCS, and Corporate Tax, along with a proficient understanding of international tax compliance requirements. Proven experience in overseeing finance, accounting, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and audit functions within SaaS, technology, or startup sectors. Comprehensive knowledge of treasury operations, fund management, portfolio management, and principles of investment banking. Practical experience utilizing ERP and accounting systems such as Zoho, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or comparable platforms. Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial reporting, complemented by strong capabilities in analytical assessment, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Experience collaborating with auditors, tax consultants, banking partners, regulatory authorities, and senior-level stakeholders. Preferred exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), entity restructuring, and initiatives related to international expansion. Proven ability to drive automation, implement process improvements, and enhance operational efficiency within financial functions. Exhibits a strong sense of ownership, proficient stakeholder management, effective team leadership, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and administer the comprehensive accounting function, ensuring precise bookkeeping, accurate financial reporting, and adherence to month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as statutory compliance. Lead compliance efforts related to direct and indirect taxes, including GST, TDS/TCS, corporate tax filings, tax audits, assessments, notices, and regulatory submissions. Coordinate global tax compliance activities encompassing federal, state, local, and sales tax obligations in collaboration with external advisors and certified public accounting firms. Prepare and critically review tax computations, returns, reconciliations, tax provisions, and balance sheet schedules to support accurate and transparent financial reporting. Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring the timely resolution of audit observations and fulfillment of compliance requirements. Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business performance reporting, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making. Collaborate closely with founders and business leaders on fund management, implementation of financial controls, due diligence processes, and capital allocation strategies. Support transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, cross-border transactions, and compliance with international regulatory requirements. Establish and enhance global finance, payment systems, and compliance frameworks to facilitate the company's international growth and expansion. Review and validate commercial contracts, service agreements, and vendor onboarding documentation to ensure alignment with financial, legal, and compliance standards. Oversee banking operations including cash flow management, account reconciliations, expense control, payroll processing, and employee tax compliance. Engage with tax consultants, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders on matters related to compliance and regulatory affairs.
