Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: HR Generalist Job Summary: Join the L&S Administrative Regional Team as an HR Generalist and become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for directly serving the needs of one or more departments in the college with day-to-day HR and payroll tasks. Areas of responsibility may include recruitment and onboarding coordination, processing hire and job change transactions, immigration and work authorization tasks, and managing payroll (e.g. leave reporting, time approval, etc.) and benefit activities. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will also contribute to the ongoing development of L&S HR services to ensure we are effectively meeting the needs of employees and units. This will include both individual and group process improvement work, including research, analysis, and implementation in a high-volume and fast-paced work environment. We are looking for candidates who will bring a positive, collaborative, and proactive problem-solving approach to working with faculty, staff, students, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who demonstrates resourcefulness and works independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
