Responsibilities
- You will perform inspection activities, including visual, physical, and dimensional (both in-process and final) of machined, electro-mechanical, and other parts, according to client requirements and specifications. Inspection may consist of, but not be limited to:
- Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating).
- In-process and final inspection of critical features such as witness inspection.
- Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet and report packages.
- Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects.
- Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
- Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan.
- Provide weekly reports of manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance of the facility, and delivery details by Data Center site.
- Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier's factory and provide reports of results.
- Drive closure of findings identified as non-conformance.
- Ensuring the supplier's quality control system documents the findings.
- Provide customer witness for test scripts, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Validate equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center.
- Be the on-site support representing the client.
Requirements
- Steel frame welding experience
- Physically able to kneel and/or climb a ladder if needed
- Prior inspection with electromechanical components, especially switchgears or anything data center related is preferred
- 6+ years of experience in the industry or equivalent
- Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
