Responsibilities

  • You will perform inspection activities, including visual, physical, and dimensional (both in-process and final) of machined, electro-mechanical, and other parts, according to client requirements and specifications. Inspection may consist of, but not be limited to:
  • Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating).
  • In-process and final inspection of critical features such as witness inspection.
  • Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet and report packages.
  • Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects.
  • Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan.
  • Provide weekly reports of manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance of the facility, and delivery details by Data Center site.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier's factory and provide reports of results.
  • Drive closure of findings identified as non-conformance.
  • Ensuring the supplier's quality control system documents the findings.
  • Provide customer witness for test scripts, including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment. Validate equipment is acceptable with no issues and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center.
  • Be the on-site support representing the client.

Requirements

  • Steel frame welding experience
  • Physically able to kneel and/or climb a ladder if needed
  • Prior inspection with electromechanical components, especially switchgears or anything data center related is preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in the industry or equivalent
  • Be able to read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
