Responsibilities
- Works in accordance with plant operations' safety and quality programs to provide a safe and quality minded working environment.
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electromechanical equipment

- Troubleshoot complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery by following precedential steps
- Install electric parts and hardware
- Repair and calibrate electro pneumatic assemblies to meet job specifications
- Diagnose issues with control systems and employ tactics to resolve them effectively
- Responsible for using Maintenance shop tools and equipment properly on all production equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement of operations and production
- Maintain knowledge of drawings, blueprints, schematics and inspection manuals
- Fill out work orders and create reports for each task completed during the day
- Responsible for keeping the Maintenance Shop facilities and equipment clean and orderly at all times.
- Responsible for identifying existing or potential problems and taking appropriate actions to prevent or reduce production equipment downtime for corrective maintenance.
- Assist mechanical millwrights as needed for mechanical repair.
- Performs other duties as assigned by department supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Must successfully pass Amcor Certified Electrical Program Test within 15days of hire
- Preference given to those with electromechanical education and/or experience in the trade within manufacturing
- Proficient working with 3-phase power up to 480V.
- Knowledge of PLC's and trouble shooting skills within ladder logic programs.
- Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
- Must have excellent attendance and safety record.
- Knowledge of ISO, AIB uses and other quality policies.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
- Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient with the use of hand and power tools
- Must demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong teamwork relationships.
- Maintain and convey a positive attitude at all times.
- Positive attitude, motivated, good organizational skills and strong communication skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Reliable with a strong attendance record

Job Description Electromechanical Electrician - NIGHTS 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule Starting wage - $35.90/hr PURPOSE: Safely perform electrical and mechanical maintenance repair work, trouble shooting, routine, and preventive maintenance on all production lines and plant facilities equipment. Candidates will need to pass electromechanical knowledge test as part of the selection process.
