As Head of Engineering, you are accountable for making sure that is genuinely true across our Thailand projects. Your Role At PALO IT, AI-Native is the default. As Head of Engineering, your primary focus is engineering quality and the rigorous application of Gen-e2™ across our Thailand operation. You will be directly involved in a selection of projects, working hands-on alongside teams and setting the standard that others calibrate against. Beyond your own projects, you will coach Tech Leads, establish engineering standards that apply across the delivery portfolio, and develop engineers at all levels. Overall delivery operations sit with the COO. Your focus is different: how well we engineer, not whether we ship. You are the person who defines and protects what good looks like at PALO IT Thailand, across every technical decision made on our projects. You will also contribute to presales, bringing engineering credibility and practical delivery insight to bids and client conversations.

Responsibilities

• Gen-e2™ Rigour and AI-Native Standards Core Mandate
• Own the quality and consistency of Gen-e2™ application across the Thailand engineering team, auditing adoption, identifying gaps, and working with teams to close them
• Define and maintain the engineering standards playbook, covering prompt libraries, coding conventions, AI output validation, security guidelines, and quality gates
• Continuously improve the Gen-e2™ methodology based on what you observe in delivery, what works and what does not
• Evaluate new AI tools and practices that could meaningfully improve quality or velocity
• Be the internal escalation point for hard technical problems, the person teams come to when they are stuck
• Embedded Delivery Excellence
• Take direct technical leadership on selected projects, working alongside teams rather than managing from a distance
• Ensure Gen-e2™ is applied with real rigour on the projects you lead, including AI-assisted code generation, automated testing, CI/CD discipline, and structured code review
• Identify and address technical risks and quality issues early, before they become delivery problems
• Share learnings from your own projects with Hive Masters and Tech Leads working on others, and lift standards across the team
• People Development and Engineering Culture
• Mentor and develop Hive Masters and Tech Leads, building their technical depth, engineering judgement, and AI-native capability over time
• Foster a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement, where engineers take pride in quality and learn from every project
• Support performance conversations and career development for engineers, in partnership with the COO
• Contribute to hiring decisions, helping to assess technical capability and generative AI aptitude in candidates
• Run engineering communities of practice, including knowledge-sharing sessions, technical retrospectives, and cross-team learning
• Presales Support Supporting Role
• Contribute engineering expertise to bid and proposal processes, including scoping, effort estimation, and solution validation
• Review technical assumptions in RFP responses to ensure commitments are realistic and deliverable using Gen-e2™
• Join client conversations where technical credibility is needed to progress an opportunity
• Provide input on team composition and technical approach for proposed engagements
