Logistics Management Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a Deputy Acquisition Program Manager Logistics (DAPML) located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama within the WEAPONS SUSTAINMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION, SUSTAINMENT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. You will serve as a Precision Guided Munitions (PGM) DAPML within PMA-242 Precision and Time Sensitive Strike Program. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or program management within a defense or aerospace environment, with demonstrated expertise in managing logistics requirements for DOW (Department of War) systems; 2) Demonstrating strong technical background, including proficiency in logistics management systems, inventory control, and supply chain optimization tools, as well as familiarity with applicable acquisition processes, regulations, and logistics policies such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Military Standards (MIL-STDs); 3) Utilizing strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to manage and mentor teams effectively, present complex logistics strategies to senior leadership, and build relationships with government agencies, contractors, and suppliers; 4) Applying excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
