About the position: This position will be assigned to Moody AFB Outdoor Rec. Guaranteed 20 hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the planning, organizing, and coordination of recurring & nonreoccurring activities Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge of a variety of outdoor adventure programs, facility rules, work procedures, equipment and materials to plan and carry out recurring and special recreational programs. Must have responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a general knowledge of outdoor recreation programs, principles, and practices. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have the ability to frequently life and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs with assistance. Frequently stand, stoop, bend, stretch, push and pull. Must be able to drive long distances with large groups of people over improved and unimproved roads. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to work an irregular tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). THIS IS A DRUG TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION. THE INCUMBENT IS SUBJECT TO RANDOM TESTING FOR DRUG USE.
