About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITIES MANAGER in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVAL AIR STATION. This position is a Temporary Promotion not to exceed 3 Years. This position may be extended at 1 Year increments for an additional 2 years for a total of 5 Years. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Management has the right to terminate the promotion before the NTE date. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing the full lifecycle of facility projects, from identifying deficiencies and developing repair alternatives to project execution including applying comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to oversee sustainment, construction, and repair projects; 2) Overseeing facility budgets and contracts by utilizing knowledge of the government contracting process and various acquisition tool which involves managing multi-million-dollar budgets and ensuring contractor performance meets all technical, safety, and quality standards; 3) Leading teams and working with multiple stakeholders to accomplish organizational and mission goals.(NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.) Applicants should meet the DAWIA Certification requirements for the Facilities Engineering Career Field and be certified at Level II at the time of application. Applicants not certified may still apply and be selected, but must achieve certification within 24 months of appointment.
