About the role
To establish, monitor and update current operating practices by reviewing the effect and quality. Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: To investigate current production and quality problems, determine appropriate solutions and make recommendations for correction. To verify quality practices and product reliability both internally and externally. To conduct quality meetings with both operating and quality assurance personnel and initiate and monitor Statistical Process Control programs To assist operations and make recommendations which will increase production or reduce costs. To investigate causes of process failure and present findings to senior facility management. Participate in the suspension and operation of the labs to maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 lab standard. To establish, maintain, and monitor standard operating procedures. Required Qualifications : - BS in Metallurgy or related field - Strong leadership ability - Strong problem-solving ability - Initiative to work under minimal supervision
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in the steel industry.
- Knowledge of statistical quality control techniques.
- Advanced understanding of tests performed on steel.
