This is a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP) position.Current proof of service-connected disability dated within six (6) months must be submitted with your electronic application.Evidence of military service dates (DD214) must accompany your electronic application.Will be selected in accordance with Title 38, U.S. Code Section 4103A.Job Type/Salary/LocationFull-timeVacancies: OneSalary: $45,495.84 annual; $21.87 hourly ($21.873)Primary Working Hours: M-F; 8:00am -5:00pmFLSA Status: Non-ExemptLocation: Tulsa American Job CenterSupervisory: NoTraining: In-house; on-the-job; in accordance with the US Dep't. of Veterans AffairsTravel: Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position.The State of Oklahoma offers a comprehensive Benefit Package to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.Position SummaryPosition Essential FunctionsProvide individualized career and case management services to veterans and eligible spouses with barriers to employment, including assessments, career planning, and connections to training and supportive resources to help them achieve meaningful, long-term employment.Document all client interactions and progress in the State Management Information System, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.Collaborate with Employment Service staff to ensure smooth hand-offs and referrals between DVOPs, LVERs, and other workforce partners, maintaining a client-centered approach throughout service delivery.Monitor client progress and provide follow-up after employment to support retention and continued career growth.Participate in local office meetings, training, and professional development to maintain program compliance and enhance service quality.On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.These job functions, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Valued Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and CompetenciesPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentWork is primarily performed in an office or workforce center with occasional travel to outreach sites. Regular use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment is required. The position may occasionally require lifting to 25 pounds.
