The pre surgery evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of the patient's overall health, identifying any potential risks and implementing any measures to minimize them. Such care includes evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and documentation of medical conditions to prevent complications and ensure timely recovery after surgery. Coordinates medical, surgical, ancillary, nursing, and other services to achieve the best and most cost-effective outcomes for patients under his/her care. Work Schedule: 10-hour days including follow-up Work location: Bend and Redmond ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: (May perform additional duties of similar complexity within SCHS as required or assigned) Clinical Duties: Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and other disorders within Physician's chosen specialty Manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Participate in patient education and promote patient wellness Utilize and coordinate both on-site and referral based medical services when appropriate Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition Order, prescribe, and/or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Document patient care in the proper form and in a timely manner Promote good health and prevent illness. Cooperate with other SCHS physicians and caregivers to ensure optimal patient careBe available to provide patient care services during scheduled workdays and manage in basket on all clinic days unless coverage is arranged. Complete annual CME as required to maintain license and appropriate Board certification. Complete in a timely manner assigned Computer Based Learning modules. Required: Unrestricted Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Oregon. Physician Assistant requires NCCPA certification. Nurse Practitioner requires AANC, NCC or AANP, AMCB certification. Unrestricted Federal DEA number registered in Oregon. Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare / Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental health care programs. Valid driver's license and the ability to meet SCHS driving requirements. Current BLS certification required. Maintain unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare / Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental health care programs.
