The primary purpose of this position is: delivers tailored personnel recovery (PR) and SERE instruction to joint force personnel at high risk of capture and exploitation. This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Technician/Administrative Support" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a training program; development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Knowledge of the standard principles, concepts, and methodology of specialized course materials and instructional techniques to conduct programmed training courses. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a broad range of instructional principles, methods, techniques, and tools to deliver specialized training using approved lesson plans, and to adapt instruction for students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and levels of understanding to achieve mission critical survival and recovery training objectives. 2. Knowledge of general training program structures and objectives in military, civilian, or comparable organizational settings, sufficient to support course administration and understand how instruction contributes to broader mission goals. 3. Skill in preparing lesson plans from established guides and presenting training in both formal and informal settings, using approved instructional methods and training aids. 4. Ability to receive and apply feedback, adapt instructional methods, and support student remediation to achieve desired training outcomes. Ability to identify instructional or classroom problems and recommend appropriate solutions within established procedures and guidance. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, and supervisors. 6. Ability to build subject matter expertise through research, professional reading, and participation in continuation and professional development training sessions, demonstrating a growth mindset and readiness to assume greater instructional responsibilities. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
