As a Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead, you will oversee and guide non-exempt team members, managing recruitment, training, work assignments, recognition, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. You will ensure that customer requirements are met by coordinating deliverables, project plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing. In this role, you will also contribute to developing team capabilities and supporting current and future projects. You will directly supervise personnel responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing utility systems, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure, fostering a productive and safe work environment. On any given day, you may be called on to: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the department¿s technical functions and their impact on and interaction with other teams. Demonstrate working knowledge of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of chillers, boilers, air compressors, pumps, air handling units, and package units, along with water treatment requirements. Apply specialized expertise and experience to independently evaluate work quality, team performance, and ensure outcomes meet or exceed customer expectations. Lead and supervise non-exempt team members, collaborating with organizational management on hiring, professional development, performance assessments, and workforce management aligned with organizational goals. Build and maintain trust-based relationships to ensure customer needs are effectively met. Understand the responsibilities and interdependencies of electrical, mechanical, and structural departments to promote cohesive operations. Drive team excellence by managing and coordinating deliverables, team objectives, budgets, organizational structures, schedules, and staffing. Prioritize, forecast, and allocate resources to successfully complete predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities. May oversee the establishment and enforcement of health and safety standards within the team. Provide technical guidance and direction to maintenance staff regarding system operations and necessary repairs. Deliver system operation and reliability data to system engineers, support reliability and performance goals, and recommend technical improvements to processes. Act as the first responder during system outages and after-hours emergencies, assessing system conditions and leading response teams to restore operations. Utilize the Facilities Control System and other relevant computer applications proficiently, while maintaining the ability to operate and maintain physical systems and components. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, processes, safety manuals, and procedures, holding the workforce accountable to these standards to maintain safe and efficient maintenance operations. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Salary Range: $102,400 - $168,800 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, plus five (5) or more years of directly related experience; Or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Minimum of five (5) years experience with the following: Supervisor, team leader, and/or foreman; working with represented personnel and collective bargaining agreements. Working with a Work Planning and Control system such as Maximo. Experience working in the HVAC industry. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
