About the role
Muon seeks a Spacecraft Test Engineer to join our Assembly, Integration, and Test team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer and is responsible for understanding every system on the satellite. Engineers on this team must have a working knowledge of design schematics, operations, manufacturing, testing, and flight. Responsibilities
- Enable day-to-day execution of spacecraft integration and test flow
- Support non-conformance investigation to determine root cause
- Support AIT in the setup and activation of production lines and development and qualification of hardware test setups
- Support the development of flight hardware, ground support equipment and qualification test assets
- Support electrical engineering during development and pre-production phases of hardware life-cycles, as required
- Perform bring-up and acceptance tests of PCBAs, as required
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or Computer, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years experience in aerospace or similar industry
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages or ability to quickly learn them (i.e. Python, Tcl, C++, SQL)
- Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
- Understanding and experience in environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and TVAC
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated capability to jump into ill-defined problems and drive positive outcomes

- Experience working in a Class 10k (ISO 7) cleanroom environment
- Documentation and configuration management experience
- Experience writing test plans, procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale
- Experience troubleshooting electronics hardware
- Proficiency in understanding PCB schematics and layout tools
- Salary
- The salary range for this role is $123,000 - $139,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
