Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000Job DescriptionQualified applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and a list of references.Basic PurposeThe Marketing & Communications team currently consists of a division director, project manager, graphic designer, technology and email manager, and multimedia specialist.Objectives of this role:Serve as a lead storyteller for the state, crafting compelling narratives that showcase Oklahoma's unique competitive advantages and the diverse opportunities available to both residents and businesses.Create content that helps position Oklahoma as a premier location for new jobs and investmentCreate strong messaging promoting Commerce's programs and efforts, and how they positively impact Oklahomans and our communitiesGrow audiences and increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality contentTypical FunctionsEditorial & Content DevelopmentMarketing Collateral: Write and develop high-quality content for a wide range of print and digital assets, including brochures and promotional materials about Commerce's programs and Oklahoma's industries and business advantages.Newsletters: Identify and write content for monthly and quarterly newsletters for multiple audiences (Oklahomans, Oklahoma communities, out-of-state businesses, etc.)Quality Control: Uphold high standards for quality, attention to detail, and brand consistency across all deliverablesCampaign Management & OptimizationLead Nurture Programs: Develop and manage email lead nurture campaigns from inception to execution. Regularly analyze campaign data (open rates, click rates, etc.) to identify trends and implement adjustments that improve engagement and conversion outcomes.Data-Driven Insights: Utilize analytics tools to glean actionable insights, improving content performance, adjusting messaging, timing, and other tactics as needed.Website & Digital InfrastructureWeb Content Management: Partner with agency leadership, team, and clients to review, update, and refine website copy. Take an active role in implementing these changes to ensure the site remains current and user-friendly.Experience with WordPress is preferred but not required.Collaboration & SupportSocial Media Coordination: Work alongside the internal team to draft and post content for social media accounts, ensuring all posts align with broader agency objectives and active campaigns.Cross-division Communication Strategy: Directly collaborate with agency departments as needed to ensure communication goals are metKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and CompetenciesThe ideal candidates will be proactive, ambitious, self-starters with a positive attitude.
