Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Job Family Group: Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: June 12, 2026 Business Unit: Upstream Experience Level: Early Careers Job Description: What's the role As a Corporate Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in strengthening our regulatory compliance, enhancing our safety culture, and reinforcing Shell Brasil's societal license to operate. You will work across a diverse network of internal teams, ensuring that our corporate activities meet both Brazilian regulatory requirements and global Shell standards. In this role, you will ensure compliance, enable safe ways of working, and drive continuous improvement aligned with industry-leading practices. Accountabilities: Regulatory Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with Brazilian safety regulations (NRs), labor requirements, and eSocial SST. Support statutory programs including: CIPA (NR-5) and SESMT (NR-4) PGR / PPRA PPP (Perfil Profissiográfico Previdenciário) Maintain readiness for audits and inspections related to corporate related regulations (e.g., Ministry of Labor). Support internal HSSE assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Safety Systems & Reporting Manage and maintain eSocial SST modules (S-2210, S-2220, S-2240) with high data quality and compliance. Track and report safety KPIs in line with Shell and regulatory expectations. Ensure accuracy and integrity of safety and exposure records. Safety Risk Management & Culture Support the implementation of Shell's Goal Zero and Human Performance principles. Identify and mitigate workplace risks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. Contribute to strengthening a proactive safety culture across the organization. Support incident learning, risk assessments, and preventive programs. Training & Competence Support delivery of safety training programs, including: Regulatory (NR) training CBSP and other mandatory certifications (as applicable) Monitor compliance with training requirements and certifications. Occupational Safety & PPE Manage PPE programs, including specification, distribution, and compliance. Support occupational health requirements and documentation (e.g., PPP inputs). Perform site inspections to assess compliance with safety requirements and regulations Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Real Estate, Operations, and Contractors. Act as the focal point for office safety topics (facilities, ergonomics, emergency response). Engage with external stakeholders such as service providers and training institution, as needed What you bring Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer Technical degree in Occupational Safety- required 3+ years of related experience Proven experience with Brazilian regulatory framework (NRs and eSocial SST) Strong experience managing PPP, PGR/PPRA, and statutory compliance programs Experience in oil & gas or other high-risk industries Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines Portuguese (fluent) and English (fluent)
