Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Supervision - Supervise and coach training staff, manage schedules and performance, and carry out supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and employee relations in alignment with company policies and laws.
  • OJT Program Management - Oversee the On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) program, guiding trainers to deliver job‑specific instruction, SOPs, and work instructions, while ensuring new employees are properly onboarded and existing staff are cross‑trained.
  • Training Effectiveness & Retention - Review and refine training approaches to improve employee retention, provide feedback to production supervisors, and maintain competency trackers and skills matrices for continuous improvement.
  • Communication & Collaboration - Lead communication of OJT program updates to plant leadership, coordinate with supervisors on employee progress, and support Manufacturing Excellence initiatives through audits, GEMBA walks, and problem‑solving teams.
  • Administration & Compliance - Manage training budgets, utilize training platforms to track and report activity, ensure PPE training and safety compliance, and maintain accurate records to support operational and regulatory standards.
  • WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
  • Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2 + years of relevant experience in a production environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required.
  • Leadership - Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project, required.
  • Critical Thinking & Communication - Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in both written and oral formats.
  • Technical & Training Expertise - Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to research online and train employees in job‑specific skills including equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Collaboration & Workplace Culture - Respectful, approachable, and team‑oriented, fostering strong working relationships and a positive, supportive work environment.
  • OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
  • Bilingual: Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language is considered an asset.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support operational needs.
