Our operations team continuously drives reductions in our supply costs, and improvements in our quality and delivery performance ensuring our products are delivered on time to our customers with the highest standards. The role is responsible for ensuring global service readiness for post‑launch product changes across the product lifecycle. This role leads spare parts creation and governance, Master Parts List (MPL) management, and collaboration with Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners to ensure robust aftersales support worldwide. The position works closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, SKU teams, Quality, IT, and global markets to ensure timely, accurate, and well‑governed service readiness solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Launch Readiness & Lifecycle Governance
  • Ensure service readiness deliverables are met in line with product and change milestones, including timely creation and release of Master Parts Lists (MPLs).
  • Own and oversee governance of spare parts, including EPN/SPN frameworks and service configuration standards across the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to service readiness processes for both new launches and post‑launch changes.
  • JDM Partner Collaboration
  • Lead and standardise spare parts processes with JDM partners, ensuring consistent ways of working, data quality, and accountability.
  • Act as the primary escalation and decision‑making point for service readiness topics involving external manufacturing partners.
  • Change Management & Post‑Launch Support
  • Review and assess engineering changes for aftersales impact, ensuring service implications are clearly understood and addressed.
  • Ensure markets receive clear, timely, and accurate communication relating to service changes, spare parts, and system updates.
  • Oversee post‑launch system updates, ensuring customer‑facing imagery, systems, and service data changes are requested, tracked, and completed.
  • Cross‑Functional & Market Engagement
  • Represent Aftersales and Service Readiness in cross‑functional projects across the business.
  • Act as the subject‑matter expert and key point of contact for spare parts setup, service systems, lifecycle management, and aftersales improvements.
  • Support global markets by resolving complex spare parts and service readiness queries.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead and develop a team of service readiness specialists, setting clear objectives and driving high performance.
  • Improve ways of working, tools, and governance to strengthen collaboration across functions and regions.
  • Coach and mentor team members, supporting both immediate delivery and long‑term capability development.
  • About you
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional or technical qualifications are an advantage.
  • Proven experience in service readiness, aftersales, spare parts, product lifecycle management, or a related engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing or supporting teams (directly or indirectly), with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across complex, global, and matrixed organisations.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and develop practical, data‑led recommendations.
  • High attention to detail with a strong delivery and results orientation.
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience investigating data and understanding end‑to‑end business processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • It would be ideal to have:
  • Experience working with Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners or external suppliers.
  • Strong systems and data expertise, including tools such as Excel, SAP, MDG, Teamcenter, or similar PLM/ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting post‑launch changes and service governance across global product portfolios.
  • Background in consumer products, electromechanical products, or high‑volume manufacturing environments.
