About the role

Responsible for the management of technical matters :- - provide technical support - technical team's skill and competency development - technical training within the company, to the customers and distributors - warranty administration. Job Description Technical Support - Provide overall technical support and guidance with assistance from Team Leads to Technical team, Equipment Sales& CT Service sales personnel - Assess service quality level performed by technicians - Overall management of equipment commissioning procedure and related activities - Overall management of Engineering Change (ECB) procedure and implementation. - Maintain and upkeep an efficient library on products, technical information, spare parts manual, ECB updates and other related technical documents. Ensure smooth information flow to all concerned. - Improve resellers technical personnel on service capability and professionalism - Responsible for the establishment and implementation of all quality procedures related to technical support. - Maintain relevant records and report on regular intervals any technical problems with high incidence rates. - Carry out periodic technical assessment of sub-contractors / suppliers for outsourced technical support. - Co-ordinate with person(s) responsible to reinforce strength and improve weaknesses in the workflow chain. - Establish strong relationship with Product Companies for divisional support and technical information flow. Warranty administration :- - Responsible for warranty assessment / evaluation and approve FNS - Coordinate and assist with all warranty issues with the customers and Product Companies as needed. - Ensure all warranty jobs are closed out timely and with reports and claims to the factory. Technical Training :- - Determine technical training requirements of AC technicians, Distributors' technicians and customers. Develop training programs to improve competence level of the team. - Implement procedures to ensure that training activities are performed in an organized and structured manner. - Document and maintain a Technical Library of all training materials. Knowledge - Electric-mechanical troubleshooting skill - An understanding of computers and associated systems (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, etc), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices. Qualification - BS Engineering (Mechanical, Electric-Mechanical discipline) or equivalent work experience.
